It's a Mini 'Everybody Loves Raymond' Reunion on 'The Middle'

Former "Everybody Loves Raymond" stars Patricia Heaton and Doris Roberts reunite on the season premiere of "The Middle," when Doris guest stars as a third-grade teacher, who just happens to have Patty's son in her class.
"It's just so great to see Doris," Patty tells ET. "I run into her occasionally if we are in an awards show together. She is so busy. She is like a world traveler and I am stuck at home with four kids. We don't get to see each other very often, and it is so exciting to work together again. It is so comfortable and an old-home week."
The action begins when Frankie (Heaton) devises a plan to stay ahead of her kids' schedules for the new school year and gets accused by Brick's (Atticus Shaffer) teacher of being an over-protective mother when she tries to explain his eccentricities to pave his way for the new school year.
