Making for good reason to celebrate over the holidays, Mandy Moore is basking in what insiders have dubbed as quite the successful opening day for her new animated movie "Tangled".
According to Deadline, the Walt Disney Studios' picture drew numbers "much bigger than expected" with 5-day estimates from $35-40 million having the possibility of being doubled.
Co-starring Zachary Levi, "Tangled" finds "the long-haired Princess Rapunzel having spent her entire life in a tower, but when she falls in love with a bandit who was passing by she must venture into the outside world for the first time to find him."
Recently chatting with press about whether or not she sees Rapunzel as a role model, Mandy replied, "Yeah, I think the biggest thing that jumped out to me and probably to everyone else is just the idea that for her entire life, Rapunzel was told that it was her 70 feet of magical long hair that made her special. It separated her from everyone else. Really, it was something she had within herself the entire time. It had nothing to do with her hair. I love that. I love having the opportunity to portray a young woman who is so fearless and confident."
